Should You Even Get A Gaming Chair?
There's a lot of people out there that will tell you that "gaming chairs aren't worth it" and that, "you should just get an office chair instead." However, while that advice can be true for some, it isn't true for others.
In the video below, I explore who gaming chairs are right for, as well as cover a handful of things you should consider before buying one. If you want to read the written version, you can go here.
Best PC Gaming Chairs Under $1,000
If you thought you lived in a world where $500-$1,000 PC gaming chairs don't exist, you better think again. There are, in fact, a couple of PC gaming chairs out there that cost well over $500.
And, while that price is a bit steep, if you take a look at the few chairs in that price range (we've only picked two), you'll see that they take computer chairs to a whole other level.
Not only do they look cool, but they are built for heavy-duty use and are designed to hold users who are the larger side. However, I would say that if you are medium-sized, or you have a slightly above-average body type, some of the sub-$500 options listed below will likely work just fine for you.
But, if you do need a larger chair to accommodate you, the options below will be worth considering—even with the high price tag.

Recommendation
The Secretlab Titan series is one of the best gaming chairs for larger users. The Titan XL has a max weight capacity of 390-pounds and comes with a seat base that's nearly 23″ wide. It comes with a hefty price tag, though, so if you don't need a larger chair, you could save money by going with one of the options listed below.

Secretlab Titan XL Series Review
Secretlab's Titan XL Series chairs represent oen of the larger and more spacious gaming chairs currently available. The Secreltab Titan XL chairs are built on a solid steel chassis to increase durability, stability, and load capacity. And, it keeps the same great Secretlab Titan design.
The back rest can be reclined as far back as 165-degrees and there are adjustments for seat tilt and seat height, along with 4D armrest controls to help keep you playing at maximum comfort.
This chair has a super wide and cushioned seat that's capable of holding users up to 390-pounds in weight and it is suited for individuals ranging from 5'11" to 6'10".
The Titan XL series is available in both Secretlab's Prime PU leather, or in their SoftWeave Fabric and, in total, you can get the chair in five different color schemes (two color schemes if you choose PU leather and three color schemes if you choose SoftWeave.)
All-in-all, if you're looking for a larger gaming chair that looks good and will last a long time, the Secretlab Titan XL is a good option.

Recommendation
The NeueChair ergonomic office seat is an excellent option for gamers who would prefer an ergonomic design that will promote better sitting posture. The NeueChair doesn' feature the traditional 'racing' style design, but it is a very nice looking chair. For the better ergonomic design, the NeueChair will cost quite a bit more than the other options on this list. But, if you need ultimate comfort, it is one of the better options out there.

NeueChair Review
If you don't necessarily need the racing style design that most gaming chairs come with and you'd prefer a seating option that offers maximum comfort and promotes the best sitting posture possible, then you might be better off opting for an ergonomic-centric office chair.
The NeueChair is one of the best ergonomic office chairs currently available. Unlike many of the racing style gaming chairs on this list, the NeueChair offers a flatter seat base, lumbar ajustment, and an all mesh design. These features may not scream "gaming" chair, but they are better options for anyone who is sitting at a desk for hours on end.
And, while the price of the NeueChair is quite a bit more than the other options listed below, there are plenty of high-end ergonomic office chairs that cost well over $1,000. So, at a bit over $500, the NeueChair is actually moderately priced for being a premium office style chair.
Ultimately, though, if you'd prefer a seating option that is more ergonomically designed and you don't mind paying a premium, the NeueChair is worth considering.

Best PC Gaming Chairs Under $500
If you don't quite have the budget to spend over $500 on a PC gaming chair, there are plenty of high-end options in the sub-$500 price range.
In fact, I'd consider the Secretlab Titan to offer a similar (or even better) sitting experience to both of the options listed above. I've been sitting in the Titan for over four years now and the chair has held up incredibly well. And, Secretlab has made many improvements to the Titan serie in that time, including the latest 2022 Titan Evo edition model update.
And, if you want to spend even less, the E-WIN Champion is a worthy alternative. For smaller users, Secretlab's Omega is worth considering, too.
Overall, despite a big price drop from the two chair options listed above, these ~$200-$500 PC gaming chairs still bring a lot to the table.

Recommendation
I have sat in a Secretlab Titan for nearly four years now and I can say, without a shadow of a doubt, that it is an excellent option for anyone who is looking for a premium gaming chair. In the four years I have had it, I have sat in it nearly every day and, to this day, the chair is still in great condition. The PU leather, the functionality, the arm rests, and the color/stitching are all still in excellent condition.

Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 Overview
I'm probably a bit biased because the Secretlab Titan is the chair that I am currently sitting in, but I love this chair. I've sat in this chair for nearly four years now and it has not only been comfortable to sit in, but it has also held up incredibly well.
The Secretlab Titan Evo (2022 series) is available in a ton of different color schemes and upholstery styles. The chair is available in Secretlab's Prime PU leather, their SoftWeave fabric, and their genuine NAPA leather. There are multiple color schemes available for each upholstery style as well, including plenty of Special Edition options, too.
The chair has a maximum capacity of 290 lbs., so while it doesn't quite have the same capacity as DXRacer's Tank series chair, or Vertagear's Triigger 350, it is sturdy enough to hold the majority of gamers.
One of the biggest pluses of the Titan, in my opinion, is the comfort it offers. Racing-style gaming chairs get a lot of heat for being all gimmick and for not offering a quality sitting option. But, from my experience in sitting in the Titan, not only is it comfortable, but it offers incredible support as well. It has a lumbar support adjustment knob, so, rather than using a pillow for lumbar support, the lumbar support is built directly into the chair.
The chair also comes with a velour pillow. When I first got the Titan I didn't think I would even use the pillow, but I've ended up keeping it on the chair at all times. It has a strap that goes around the back so that you can put it around the top of your chair and adjust it to fit your needs.
The Titan also has multiple tilt features, including the ability to tilt at its base and recline the back of the seat. The backrest can recline to a maximum angle of 165° and the base-tilt feature can be unlocked (which allows the chair to rock back and forth), or locked into a variety of angles.
Ultimately, if you are looking for the best PC gaming chair under $400, then I highly recommend the Titan. Click on the link to read my full Secretlab Titan review.

Our top pick for the best value gaming chair currently on the market is E-WIN's Champion series of chairs. Their flat seat base, adjustability options, and lower price tage make them a solid option for users who don't want to spend much over $300 to get a bit higher-end option like the Secretlab Titan.

E-WIN Champion Overview
The E-WIN Champion series stands out from the rest of the gaming chair market with a competitive price tag. For just a little over $300, the Champion series comes with the types of features that you'd expect to find on a higher-end gaming chair.
For starters, the Champion series foregoes the traditional bucket-stlye seat that many gaming chairs come with and, instead, opts for a flatter seat base. This will make it a more comfortable option for larger users.
The Champion series also comes with a fabric seat base, a multi-tilt mechanism, 4D adjustable arm rests, and the ability to recline back to 155-degrees.
In the end, while the E-WIN Champion series isn't the best overall option on the market, if you are working with a bit tighter of a budget, it is probably one of the better value options currently available. So, if you're looking for the best PC gaming chair for about $300, then the Champion series would be worth checking out.

SecretLab Omega (2020) |
| 9.0 /10 | Check Price Video Review » |
Recommendation
After reviewing both the Secretlab Titan and the DXRacer Formula series (the base model), I figured it would be a good idea to go back and check out Secretlab's rival to the DXRacer Formula for medium-to-smaller sized individuals. And, that option is Secretlan's Omega. The Omega is pretty much a mini version of the Secretlab Titan. It is just as comfortable, it has just as many adjustment options (on the recline, titlt, and arm rests), and it maintains the same excellent build quality. The only downside for me was that the lumbar support cushion was not attached to the chair and, as a result, would slip down sometimes when I would adjust in the chair. Overall, though, for ~$70 less than the Titan, the Omega is another solid chair from Secretlab, and the perfect option for smaller users.

SecretLab Omega 2020 Overview
Secretlab's Omega 2020 edition gaming chair is essentially a mini version of their bigger Titan series chair. The Omega 2020 has the same adjustment options as the Titan. It's arm rests can be adjusted up and down, side-to-side, forwards and backwards, and at an angle.
And, just like the Titan, the Omega can also recline back to a maximum of 165° as well as tilt at its base. The base can either be unlocked so that the chair can rock back and forth freely, or it can be locked in a zero angle, or at a tilted angle as well.
Again, the Omega is smaller than the Titan and it is intended for smaller users. It's maximum height capacity is 5'9″ and it's maximum weight capacity is 240 lbs. However, Secretlab does have a recommended weight of 175 lbs. To me this is likely Secretlab erring on the side of caution, as I am 180 lbs. and the chair holds me just fine. In fact, I'm sure this chair could easily hold someone ~200 lbs. and hold up well over the long run. The chair is very well built.
The Omega also comes with both a velour head/neck pillow (the same one that the Titan comes with) and a velour memory foam lumbar support. The only real problem I had with the chair was that the lumbar support pillow is not attached to the back rest in anyway. So, on occassion, when I would move around to adjust in the seat, the pillow would slip down, and I'd have to reach back to readjust it.
Overall, though, if you have a smaller body type and you're looking for a high-quality gaming chair, the Secretlab Omega is definitely worth considering. You can also check out our full Secretlab Omega review by following the link.

Recommendation
DXRacer was the first gaming chair manufacturer to gain widespread popularity among gamers. And, their Racing Series chairs are probably their best options for value-oriented consumers as they strike a nice balance between features and comfort. Although, at only ~$30 cheaper than the Secretlab Titan, you'd probably be better off spending a little more to get the built-in lumbar support that the Titan offers.

DXRacer Racing Series Review
While DXRacer was the first big name in the gaming chair market, they have since taken a bit of a backseat to fast-growing brands like Secretlab and Maxnomic (to name a few).
However, DXRacer still has a lot of quality offerings. Their Racing Series chairs are probably their best mid-range option as they kind of sit in the middle ground between the features they offer and the price they come in at.
You can get a Racing Series chair in a handful of different color schemes and the chair comes with the standard adjustment features (heigh adjustment, armrest adjustment, and the ability to recline backwards).
However, in my opinion, considering that you can get the Titan 2020 Series chair for ~$30 more, or the GTRACING LUXURY for ~$100 less, there are better options out there for your money.

DXRacer Formula |
| 8.7 /10 | Check Price Read Review » |
Recommendation
I had the chance to review DXRacer's base model Formula series chair. The Formula series is intended for users who have a small frame (max height of 5'8″ and max recommended weight of 180 lbs.). So, if you're a larger user, you'll want to look elsewhere. Ultimately, though, DXRacer's F-Series chairs are decent options for the price, but they don't have a lot of armrest adjustability and they don't recline as far back as other similarly-priced options. If you are set on getting a DXRacer Formula Series chair, I would recommend that you look at the slighlty more expensive options that have PU leather on them, rather than the F-Series' base models, which only come with a mesh material.

DXRacer FD101/N Review
DXRacer's Formula series chairs are not going to be ideal options for every gamer. That's because they are designed to hold smaller users. With a recommended height limit of 5'8″ and a recommended weight limit of 180 lbs., larger users likely won't find DXRacer's F-Series chairs comfortable.
The chair does have a maximum height capacity of 5'10" and a maximum weight capacity of 200 lbs. I am about 5'10" (okay, probably more like 5'9″) and ~180 lbs. So, I sit right on the fringe of the recommended limits for this chair.
But, in my review of the chair, I found that, while a bit snug, the chair was comfortable enough for me. And, so if you are right on the fringe of the weight and height capacities, you'll probably be okay with a Formula series chair.
The one thing I wasn't super excited about on the F-Series model that I reviewed (the OH/FD01/NR) was its all-mesh covering. However, DXRacer does have F-Series chairs that do have an all PU leather covering and if I were to choose one of these chairs for myself, I would definitely pay more to get the PU leather. This seat's mesh isn't horribly uncomfortable to sit on… it's just not quite as nice as sitting on the synthetic leather that most of these gaming chairs come with.
The other downfall of the OH/FD01/NR was the fact that its armrests really don't have a lot of adjustment options. They can only be adjusted up and down. And, it looks like that's how it is for all of DXRacer's Formula Series chairs. Although, some of the higher-end F-Series options do appear to have upgraded padding on their armrests.
Overall, though, the OH/FD01/NR was a decent chair to sit in when all things are considered. I docked the OH/FD01/NR some points in my review because of the mesh material, but the F-Series chairs that have leather are high-end options for users that fall under the recommended height and weight capacities. AKRacing Core Review
Another solid option in the sub-$300 price category is AKRacing's Core series of chairs. The Core series is available in five different color schemes, including: all black, black and blue, black and red, blue and black, and red and black.
Thanks to its steel 5-star base, the Core series is rated to hold users that weigh up to 330-pounds. Like all of AKRacing's chairs, the Core series has the ability to recline 180-degrees backwards. That's a bit more than the standard ~130-degrees or so that most PC gaming chairs can recline back.
The chair also comes with fabric material instead of PU leather, which may or may not be a pro for you. There are pros and cons to each type of chair covering and if you'd like a fabric style gaming chair, the Core series is probably one of the best options under $300.

Best Budget Gaming Chairs Under $200
I'd say that in the $100-$200 price range you can find a solid PC gaming chair that will give you the support you need to sustain long gaming sessions.

E-WIN Knight Series Review
In our opinion, the E-WIN Knight gaming chair is the best option under $200, narrowly edging out the gaming chairs listed below. The E-WIN chair does cost a bit more than the options listed below, but its flatter seat won't feel as restricting to sit in than the bucket-style seats commonly found on chairs in this price range.
The E-WIN chair can hold users that are up to 300 lbs. as well, so it is a somewhat sturdy chair. Just note, though, that there is no set standard for listing a weight capacity for chairs and so while this chair might be able to hold someone that is up to 300 lbs., it might not be the best option over the long run for someone who needs a big and tall gaming chair.
Ultimately, though, for just a little under $200, the E-WIN Knight chair offers the standard racing-style look and a flatter seat base than its competitors. All of those features help make it our choice for the best gaming chair under $200.

TOPSKY's High Back racing style computer/office chair is another solid option in the sub-$200 price range. In fact, the chair has been dropped from an original $260 price tag all the way down to just under $200. So, it is definitely a better value now than it was before.
This is yet another racing style chair that, while not looking completely different from the other options out there, does look different enough to potentially catch your interest. It's a high-back chair that has a seating capacity of up to 300 pounds, making it one of the more sturdy chairs available.

Whether you're a casual PC gamer, you create gameplay content on YouTube, you stream on Twitch, or you're a serious competitive gamer, you need a quality gaming chair. And, even if you don't have a large budget, that doesn't mean that you're out of options.
While higher-end options like DXRacer and Secretlab are ideal, but the Furmax Racing Style chair will at least give you an affordable option to start out with. It comes with an adjustable backrest that can tilt between 90-150°. The chair is upholstered with PU leather to give it a nice finished look, as well as making it comfortable to sit in and easy to clean.

Ultra Cheap Gaming Chairs Under $100
If you have between ~$50 and $100 to spend on your gaming PC chair, you actually have a pretty diverse group of options to choose between.

And, both of those come in a few different color schemes so if that's the kind of style you're looking for, there's probably a color set for you. Then, on the other hand, you have a couple of plain-looking chairs and one executive-style chair to choose between as well.
In my opinion, the HomCom Racing Chair is probably the best gaming chair in this range if your main concern is aesthetics. But, it is also the most expensive.
So, ultimately, the choice all comes down to your personal preference… but the good news is that youcan get a cheap PC gaming chair that is fairly decent by choosing one of the options in this price range.

BestOffice Racing Chair Review
For the most part, the cheap gaming chair options under $100 are all really just cheap office chairs that have a little bit of color added to them. However, the BestOffice Racing chair actually mainstains the same "racing" style design that you've likely seen on higher-end gaming chairs.
While the BestOffice Racing chair isn't going to provide you with the highest end chair possible, it's not a bad option in the sub-$100 price range. It has most of the options you'd expect out of a gaming chair, like the ability to recline, height adjustment, arm rest height adjustement, and a lumbar pillow and neck pillow, too.
It even comes with a footrest that pulles out from beneath the seat. And, perhaps the most important feature on the BestOffice Racing chair is the fact that, while there are "wings" that come off the side of the seat base, the cushion is tall enough to where it eliminates any kind ofserious bucket in the seat. And, that means you won't feel as restricted by the bucket seats sitting in this chair.
Ultimately, if you're looking for the best PC gaming chair, but you don't have a ton of money to spend, the BestOffice Racing chair is a cheap option that will work decently for now. However, you probably shouldn't expect it to serve you well as a long-term sitting option.

If you need an affordable racing chair, the Homall Gaming Chair comes in at just under $100 and will add a little color to your setup. Homall Gaming Chair Review
Homall's Gaming Chair is another option worth considering in the sub-$100 price range. Like the BestOffice Racing chair listed above, Homall's PC gaming chair offers the typical racing-stlye design, the standard adjustment features, and a lumbar pillow and neck pillow, too.
There are four main differences between the Homall Gaming Chair and BestOffice's Racing chair, though. First, where BestOffice's Racing chair comes with an extendable footrest, Homall's chair doesn't.
The second differences is that, where BestOffice's Racing chair doesn't have as exaggerated as bucket-style seats, Homall's gaming chairdoes have more exaggerated bucket seats. The higher "wings" on the Homall chair will mean that you will be a bit more restricted in how widely you can spread your legs apart while sitting in this chair. If you're smaller or you don't mind sitting with in a narrower seat base, that's fine. But, if you want a wider seat base, then the BestOffice Racing is probably the better option.
The third differences is that the Homall gaming chair doesn't come with free shipping, which increases it's price by ~$10. And, since the two chairs are both priced the same, with shipping factored in, the Homall gaming chair comes in at $10 more than the BestOffice Racing chair (which comes with free shipping.)
There is one difference that helps the Homall Gaming Chair stand out over the BestOffice Racing chair, though. And, that is that the Homall Gaming Chair has a sturdier 5-star base and, as a result, can accommodate users up to 300-pounds. The BestOffice Racing chair, on the other hand, can only accommodate users up to 250-pounds.
Of course, with these cheaper chairs, the weight limit is probably exaggerated a bit. But, you can see that the Homall Gaming Chair does come with athe stronger base, so, if you are a larger user and you need an affordable gaming chair, you might be better off with the Homall Gaming Chair over the BestOffice Racing chair.

The only difference is that this option from BestOffice comes with some different color schemes and is a few bucks cheaper. Both are okay options if you are looking for a cheap chair to hold you over until you can afford a higher-end option.

BestOffice Task Chair Review
An alternative option to the Best Choice chair listed above is the BestOffice Racing chair. Like the two other chairs listed above, the BestOffice Racing chair isn't actually a racing-style PC gaming chair, but is an office chair with some color added to it instead.
And, if it looks familiar, that's because it is basically the same chair as the BestOffice chair listed above. The only difference between the two is the fact that the Best Choice chair comes in at a few dollars cheaper and it has some different color schemes to choose between.
So, if you need a super cheap chair that offers a little more in terms of aesthetics than a standard office chair, either this chair from BestOffice, or the chairs from Best Choice or Merax above should serve as okay seats to hold you over until you can afford a higher-end option.

Which Option is the Best Gaming Chair for You?
There are a lot of factors to consider when going out and choosing a computer chair. First and foremost, the PC gaming chair you choose will largely depend on how much you spend.
And, from there, it will all come down to what kind of style chair you want and what color scheme you'd prefer. Of course, comfort is a big factor, and if you have ~$100 or more to spend, it probably won't be a concern (because most of the options over $100 are going to be pretty comfortable.)
Ultimately, if you are looking for the best computer chairs for gaming, any of the options on the above list should meet the majority of gamers' needs.
